"Thanks!" to many of you, including Fabulous Florida Mommy (in this post), as well as Irina, who let us know that J.Crew had an update to its website today (click here to view online). There are some new arrivals for men (click here) & women (click here). {wahoo!} It looks like Crewcuts (click here) has been updated, as did the J.Crew Collection (click here).
I am off to check out the new Fall arrivals now...
Revivial. When I saw the Hacking Jacket in Tipped Double-Serge Wool (Item 50051; $250.00), I immediately thought "they brought back the Lexington Jacket!" My second thought, is that someone from J.Crew who is in merchandising totally reads this blog. Why? Because this item is one of the ones we JCAs always ask for them to remake. I am all for the revivals too. How many of us adored the shades the Wool Oxford Jacket (Item 88574; $285.00) came in (Bright Flame and Liberty Blue). We finally saw them return this season with the Hacking Jacket in Herringbone (Item 48263; $198.00).
And while I am at, the Bubble Necklace (Item 92687; JCA post here, $150.00) is back! Granted it comes in different shades, but it is the same necklace. Smart move J.Crew! Especially since I have seen so many versions of this necklace at other retailers since J.Crew first introduced it.
Loving. This is not just one product, but a whole category: knee-length skirts! I am so excited to see skirts like the Liquid Silk Skirt (item 46333; $148.00). Such a beautiful style with a great length that works anywhere from the office to a dinner party.
Why? The Quoddy® Leopard Calf Hair Ring Boots (Item 49074; $550.00) are questionable. I like the print, and the shape of the boot is fine, but just not together. For whatever reason, it reminds me of something a caveman would wear.
What items are you most excited about and why? Which items are you surprised (or not surprised) to see? Which items did you hope would be included? Were you expecting a bigger roll-out today? Also, did you receive the latest catalog? :)
